Rhyl

I will always have a soft spot for Rhyl and the Clywd estuary I've had some wonderful times here as it stores fond memories of my younger brother while living with my parents.

It's sad to see Rhyl dwindle away over the years, especially losing the Mad Mouse Roller coasterfunfair, but then like many places in Britain spending on an uncertain future isn't one of their strong points. I do remember when I was a kid Rhyl used to get packed and now it's just something you see on old postcards and photos. Rhyl has made some decent changes to keep up with the times and I think the Sun Centre was a good choice because of the north weather's reputation. However, I do think they should have invested in its resort instead of letting it turn into a ghost town...
