For the past few years I’ve lived in Crewe and although it’s ok, it’s looking tired on how I once remembered it.
When we lived in Newcastle-Under-Lyme my parents came to Crewe to do their weekly shopping, Crewe was probably the first to have a free car park with toilet facilities. Although the car park is still here sadly the free parking isn't.

friend and I joined Crewe Pioneers and Cheshire Anglers in 1973 never really
taking much notice where the Club was at the time; how bizarre that I now live
within a stone’s throw away from the club 43 years on. And how more bizzare that it shuts not long after mentioning it lol...
