France

Britain and France have had some kind of beef with each other for as long as I can remember; it sort of reminds me a bit like 2 little kids playing war games and one spitting the dummy out in losing. I think it’s just sad that the two countries are much farther apart than any two languages. Maybe one day they will both grow up and bury the hatchet however it would be stupid of anyone to hold their breath.

Thankfully I don’t have a problem with any country so I just leave them to it.

I have only ever been to Calais once and sadly it was just a quick shop and go visit; and the sea was that rough that I spent most of the journey on deck, and didn't get to eat the long awaited breakfast I ordered.

I love the Eiffel tower there’s just something magical about its structure I hope one day to visit as to be further inspired by its magnificent presence.

So it was little wonder that I was gutted to hear about the attacks in Paris on Friday 13 November 2015 by the cowardly Islamic State (IS) militant group. Paris is the only city in the world that I believe truly represents love so to have this image shattered by Daesh I find it truly heart-breaking and unwarranted and I stated such thoughts at the time…

When it comes to music there are a few songs over the years that I like; however there’s only one that remains supreme (JaneBirkin et Serge Gainsbourg  - JeT'aime,...Moi Non Plus) even to this day I get Goosebumps when I hear it.
Although Marie Myriam wasn't my favourite 1977Eurovision Song at the time I have since heard the English version of The bird and the child and now I love the song in either tongue; I'm sure had I have known the lyrics at the time it would have been my favorite song by far..I did think that she was beautiful at the time though. However the Swiz group did it for me that year and as for the British entry Rock Bottom it was exactly where the embarrassing tune belonged, rock bottom…

I do honestly think the French language is the most romantic in the world; in fact even the word French has sexiness about it...
